Though they are not the same I hear people using the word "wreck" when they mean "wreak" as in "wreck havoc." I have also heard the word "mute" substituted (incorrectly, of course) for the word "moot." All I can say is Ugg or did I mean "Ugh"? ;-)Daphnehttp://www.musementsandamusements.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8084695768619835985.post-11192666035134511782011-08-23T08:36:22.074-04:002011-08-23T08:36:22.074-04:00Write equals right and vise versa when I'm ove...Write equals right and vise versa when I'm overtired.shellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09596621767297173021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8084695768619835985.post-58177440739765909612011-08-23T06:45:11.230-04:002011-08-23T06:45:11.230-04:00I can think of some... like feet vs feat and your ...I can think of some... like feet vs feat and your vs you're or perhaps my biggest pet peeve is principal vs principle (oh wait, you mentioned that one. This is wonderful and would be great for kids to read who are just learning to write.

Kathy
http://www.thetruckerswife.com/Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11564863484894692249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8084695768619835985.post-1570734246809566822011-08-22T17:27:06.101-04:002011-08-22T17:27:06.101-04:00Thanks for this timely reminder. I think we've all gotten lazy about letting our spell check function zoom through and calling that "editing". The fact is that if the wrong word is spelled right - spell check doesn't catch it. Human eyes still need to read through.Summer Fey Foovayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13245787726134060463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8084695768619835985.post-16171185383765241642011-08-22T15:18:42.174-04:002011-08-22T15:18:42.174-04:00The main one that makes me cringe is 'your'...The main one that makes me cringe is 'your' (as in 'belonging to you') and you're (meaning 'you are')Paula Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10040623635956769807noreply@blogger.com
